Charli XCX joins voice cast for The Angry Birds Movie
Charli XCX, best known for her smash hit ‘Boom Clap’, has joined the voice cast for The Angry Birds Movie.
The singer will voice the character of Willow in the movie based on the extremely popular video game franchise. The news was announced on Twitter by John Cohen, the producer of the movie.

Charli XCX joins the previously announced cast, made up of Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Danny McBride, Maya Rudolph, Kate McKinnon, Bill Hader and Peter Dinklage. Country singer Blake Shelton is also a cast member, voicing one of the green pigs in the movie as well as singing.
The movie focuses on the quick-to-anger Red (Sudeikis), the speedy Chuck (Gad), and the volatile Bomb (McBride) as they try to figure out what their island’s new arrivals, the green pigs, are up to. The movie is due for release in May.
