The 44-year-old former Spice Girl told the Financial Times that her sons all felt pressure to follow in the footsteps of their footballing father David Beckham.

‘All three boys used to have contracts with Arsenal,’ she said.

‘Brooklyn was the first to say he didn’t want to play any more.

'I remember Romeo sitting in the bath getting really upset saying, “I don’t want to let Daddy down”.’

The former Spice Girl also revealed in an interview with The Financial Times, at fashionable Japanese restaurant Nobu, that while she loves everything her husband of 20 year wears, he isn’t as keen on her fashion - despite her running an international fashion brand.

Talking about how she stays so trim, Miss Beckham admitted that on a daily basis she does ‘about 7.5km [on an incline] on the treadmill, and then my trainer comes.’

She added: ‘I am quite aware that I’m really very disciplined. And it does start to make me sound very strange. But, it’s just the way that I am.

'And, also, [working out] is one of the only things that I do for me. I go to work, and I come home and I’m with the kids. So it’s just my thing.’
